So if you’ve been driving around Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin, Ohio and Michigan and seeing yellow billboards advertising for bankruptcy at the low price of $555, you’re probably wondering if there’s a catch. Right?
Well the answer is “No.”
How can we do bankruptcies for as low as $555?
The Short Answer: technology & volume
When a person or company focus on something (truly focus), they can achieve economies on scale. And Fairmax Law delivers. We focus on Bankruptcy, both Chapter 13 & Chapter 13.
But the picture wouldn’t be complete with just focus. Something else is needed. And in the case of Fairmax Law™, a Service of Jaafar Law Group PLLC, that additional ingredient is technology. Our platform allows us to focus on the important parts, such as going to court, or advising our clients. And our software efficiently handles the small tasks.
The end result is an accurate Bankruptcy petitions and/or a Chapter 13 plan. And more importantly, a very satisfied client.
The Long Answer
The fact is the Fairmax Law’s attorneys have represented thousands of clients filing bankruptcy, and we advertise that low price because our goal is to help people at a bargain price. Our founder is Michael Jaafar, and you may recognize his name because he has appeared over 100 times on the radio to be interviewed about debt relief and credit repair, and he’s been interviewed over 30 times on Fox News regarding the same subject. Dating back to 2009, he has been a FOXNews legal analyst for debt relief, bankruptcy, and credit repair law. You can still see the videos streaming online if you go to FOXNews’ website, or just type his name into Google.
More importantly, the clear majority of our clients only pay the $555 price. It includes all of our work to prepare the petition, review the clients financial situation, make sure the petition is prepared perfectly, file it, and attend the hearing. The fee does not include any out of pocket costs, or any reaffirmation agreements that must be prepared/reviewed after the case is filed. And the fee does not include the filing fee that you pay to the government, if that applies. But if you’re beneath a certain amount of income, we can even help you waive that fee for no extra charge. And if you are above a certain amount of income and I required to pay that fee, it is not due before you file the case and you can take up to four months can get after you file the case.
Also, if your bankruptcy is complicated or if you own a business or you have a significant amount of assets, we may have to decline your case at the $555 price point. But even then, we will work with you on a fair and reasonable fee.
The reason we advertise our fee on billboards is to show our customers confidence that we have and what we do; to show them that we have nothing to hide, and that we are a very transparent law firm. If you are considering filing bankruptcy, you are already in a very stressful place in your life. And the last thing you need is an attorney to rush you off the phone when you ask them what they charge.
Some people try to get advice from attorneys over the phone, only to be told that they have to come and visit the attorney in person before they can quote them a price; and that the price will vary based on what they have.
But why does it have to be that way? We believe that everyone should be able to receive the same price, unless they have a very complicated or unique case. And that only applies to approximately less than 2% of people who file for bankruptcy.
